Title: Sr Security Systems Analyst
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Onsite
Duration: 1 year CTH
Pay rate: $60/hr -$70/hr
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Deliver technical designs, estimates of development time, and plan
individual deliverable work.
Develop functionality with a focus on quality and ensuring proper
unit and integration test coverage.
Collaborate with QA team to support test plans and execution.
Assist with performing systems analysis for projects of major scope
and various complexities to provide a means for solving technical
and business-related problems/challenges.
Support existing business application(s) by troubleshooting issues,
analyzing possible causes, defining solutions, and working through
defined change control processes to enable quick resolution.
Acquire and maintain system and business knowledge needed to
support both end users and other internal or external technical
teams.
Qualifications:
Proficient knowledge of various technologies including .NET,
JavaScript, Git, RabbitMQ, SQL Server, Angular, Elasticsearch, and
SSRS.
Familiarity with Agile development practices, Scrum, Kanban, and
backlog management systems.
Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. ? Bachelor of
Science degree from a 4-year accredited university, or 5 years of
related industry experience or equivalent technical experience.
Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), or Management
Information Systems (MIS) degree is preferred.
5+ years of experience in Information Technology specific to
application development and support
5+ years of experience developing and supporting SQL-based
applications is required.
Hands-on experience of commercial energy transportation systems
(contracts, tariffs, scheduling, ticketing, balancing, invoicing,
reporting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable) is
preferred.
Experienced in database design, performance evaluation and tuning,
development of stored procedures, and referential integrity.
Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal
and external customers.
Ability to pick up on technical concepts quickly and can learn new
skills and knowledge.
Enjoys working hard in a fast-paced, action-oriented
environment.
Be comfortable with thinking in multiple layers of abstraction when
dealing with critical security concerns that have regulatory
implications.
Be comfortable working with and recommending configuration in a
zero-trust security setting.
Have experience working with encryption.
Experience developing and driving adoption of public APIs for use
by other developers.
Experience developing security frameworks for authentication,
action entitlements, and data entitlements
