The Role Position PurposeWhere you fit in -The Construction
Foreman is the lead construction person on the Gulf of Mexico Shell
asset. The primary responsibility is to drive safe and efficient
execution of all construction and paint work offshore. This role
can be tasked with leading execution of Brownfield Projects,
Turnarounds, or Major Maintenance (including Paint)
activities.Position reports to the Construction Team lead
functionally but could be called on to support other MTAC driven
activities such as TAR's, Pit Stops and Major Maintenance when
needed. Strong functional relationship to the onshore coordinator
rolesConstruction focal point for integration of activities for
maintenance, projects, and turnaroundsResponsible for offshore
construction productivity, safety, and qualityDevelop short-term
offshore construction schedule (28-day look-ahead)Interface with
Project Scheduler for progress reportingInterface with Engineering
Requests for Information (RFI's)Liaise with the OIM, operations,
and maintenance team members for overall activity
management.Coordinate installation handovers to commissioning
teamLeads or participates in investigations including High
Potential IncidentsReview and approve incident reports prior to
fountain documentationWhat's the role -Manage execution of offshore
projects or other major activitiesImplementing Advanced Work
Packaging process through rigorous review of work packagesManage 28
day lookaheadCoordinate and implement contractor HSSE plansLead /
designate safety meetingsImplement construction lessons learned and
other learnings from previous construction projectsMake daily work
site visitsCoordinates or designate review and ensure appropriate
approval of all Safe Work PlansResolve conflicts/issues associated
with ever changing offshore prioritiesProvide input to and utilize
integrated schedule for forecast planning of POBReview and approve
work packages and readinessSupport Deck layout optimization,
strategy and managementPerform constructability assessments on
engineering packages, participate in Hazard Identification
(HAZID's)Skills & RequirementsWhat we need from you - Must have
legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for
anyone other than current employer.HS Diploma or equivalent
experience required.Seasoned industry professional with 10 years of
production/maintenance/construction experience, project execution,
field start-ups, asset management and/or project execution (e.g.
commissioning).Subject matter expertise required in the following
areas:Mechanical ConstructionI&EWorking knowledge of other
offshore activities such as:Painting & BlastingEnvironmental
ServicesInspection servicesTorquingEngineeringDivingAble to work
offshore, possesses valid TWIC and T-HUET
certificationsDemonstrated Knowledge and Commitment to Shell's HSSE
Management System.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of
offshore operations.Ability to accomplish goals which require
resources outside span of controlDemonstrated ability to manage
competing priorities to build ownership toward the assetCommunicate
