Job SummaryReporting to the Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor of Analytics and Planning is responsible for leading the collection, analysis, stewardship, and communication of data to support strategic planning and decision-making. The Vice Chancellor of Analytics and Planning deploys data visualization and predictive analytics to support student success, learning outcomes assessment, fiscal management, enrollment management, and advancement functions at the College. Working closely with College leaders, the Vice Chancellor of Analytics and Planning works to elevate the use of information to enable data-informed decision-making and planning at every level of the College. Additionally, Vice Chancellor of Analytics and Planning leads diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives college-wide and leads dialogs with campus constituents regarding equity-related data and associated action-planning. Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Performance Requirements*

  • Provides direct supervision to Institutional Research, Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation, Organizational Excellence and Development, and Office of Grants Development and Compliance
  • Assist and advises efforts driving continuous improvement of college programs and services
  • Establishes and follows through on leading a culture of collaborative, data-informed decision-making, and operations
  • Recommends and formulates policy, procedures, and processes to meet college data, information, and professional development needs for the College
  • Routinely prepares and reviews reports to institutional stakeholders such as the Board of Trustees, Chancellor, and Cabinet leadership team, among others
  • Leads the development of data analytics and metrics to facilitate institutional strategic planning and decision support
  • Utilizes institutional data to prioritize and demonstrate improvements in areas of the student and employee experience
  • Works cross-functionally with college leadership and stakeholder groups to design, coordinate, and implement a One College model of metrics, analysis, and assessment of outcomes, and assessment programs
  • Works cross-functionally with college leadership to understand, document and define data and planning needs
  • Directs the authorization, development, and release of institutional data to appropriate stakeholders
  • Provides vision to the analytics and planning department related to the development, delivery, and actions in support of decision support
  • Works collaboratively with faculty and staff to develop and administer systematic, broad-based, and interrelated research, planning and evaluation processes
  • Collaborates with college leadership to design, develop, and forecast budget and operational priorities, project management, and ongoing support of TCCD's strategic priorities
  • Supports planning through special research and policy analyses of strategic priorities and needs
  • Assist in measuring attainment of planning and operational goals
  • Supports design of institutional research studies and facilitates planning discussions to support decision-making and strategic planning
  • Supervises, leads, and supports efforts to streamline and augment innovative, proven, and promising practices to advance TCCD's mission, goals, priorities, and operations
  • Ensures College sponsored professional development programming and curricula support the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of the institution
  • Aligns goals and objectives for institutional effectiveness, organizational excellence, grants development, and research to support goals, priorities, and mission of the College
  • Provides leadership to support research, planning, and decision-making focused on securing external funding through grant projects
  • Evaluates prospective grant projects and shares assessment with College leadership to make informed decisions
  • Identifies key resources, budget, and personnel needs to support successful grant projects and post grant sustainability
  • Ensures all grant projects adhere to institutional and funder guidelines General Supervision and Management
    • Provides leadership for all analytics and planning departments, which includes Institutional Effectiveness, Grants Development, Institutional Research, and Organizational Excellence and Development
    • Provides direction, on-going monitoring, and support to direct reports Service Excellence
      • Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
      • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
      • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC )
      • Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation, and creativity and service to the College

Required Minimum Qualifications
        • Master's degree in related field
        • Eight 8 years' working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
        • Five 5 years' experience supervising (e.g., managing, evaluating the performance of others; leading projects or processes) Preferred Qualifications
          • Doctorate in related field
          • Experience leading in a complex urban organization
          • Current Project Management Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
            • Skilled in project planning, management, and monitoring
            • Skilled in providing high quality customer service and interpersonal communications with diverse populations
            • Skilled in budget planning, operations, and forecasting
            • Skilled in using applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
            • Ability to foster a collaborative and equity-driven work environment and setting
            • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
            • Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
            • Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
