Job DescriptionAt Mainland City Centre, our custodians are here to clean and sanitize our facilities. The external and internal appearance of our building should always appear in its best condition. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep. They will have great physical endurance to cover a large space and understand how long any given task should take and budget their workload accordingly. General Responsibilities Include:

• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, wiping down furniture, and dusting surfaces
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers
• Restock disposables (e.g., soap, toilet paper)
• Wipe mirrors and windows within reach
• Sanitize entries, specifically doorknobs and handles
• Communicate with maintenance regarding minor repairs (replacing broken switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks etc.)
• Report major damages
• Maintain necessary inventory Occasional Responsibilities Include:
  • Shampoo rugs and carpets
  • Wax and/or buff floors
  • Polishing
  • Deeper cleans in specified areas
  • Assist other departments, tenants, or employees when emergencies occur General Requirements Include:
    • 2+ years of proven experience as custodian or similar role
    • Experience with use of cleaning equipment and appliances
    • Attention to detail 
    • Good physical stamina and strength
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
