Job Description Summary: An Operator Trainee 1 will be required to learn and perform all aspects of bulk product receiving, bulk product shipping, operational trouble shooting and repair, mechanical trouble shooting and repair, heavy equipment operation and troubleshooting, general maintenance, general housekeeping. Essential Job Duties: Must have the ability to work cooperatively with the team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules. Follow company environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. Learn to receive, store, and ship bulk products safely and efficiently. Performs routine maintenance of site, buildings and terminal equipment as required. Operates and maintains yard care equipment and assist in maintaining terminal safety equipment Learn to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Perform general housekeeping duties, trash collection, empty barrels, sweep, mop floors, etc Perform general maintenance duties, replacement of conveyor rollers, flowline installations, painting, etc Perform other job related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Communicate clearly and concisely in a variety of communication settings and styles. Mechanically inclined. Bulk product handling background. Heavy equipment background. Ability, desire and willingness to learn continuously. Physical ability to perform strenuous labor. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Mechanical training or mechanical background. Bulk product handling. Heavy equipment trained or heavy equipment background. Physical Requirements: Listening, watching, smelling, touching, and talking. Walking, climbing, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Repetitive use of hands, arms, and legs. Typically sits or stands for extended periods of time. As needed, lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 100 pounds. Able to maintain attention span during work shift. Able to maintain physical stamina during work shift. Ability and willingness to work outdoors in multiple climates.
