Operate a Class A truck over varying distances in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure timely delivery of freight as assigned, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure proper working conditions of the vehicle and compliance with regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle service status, complying with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations staff to report any issues or delays and to ensure coordination and efficient route planning. Handle documentation relating to cargo, route details, and fuel purchases diligently and accurately. Proficiency in operating Class A trucks Strong orientation towards safety regulations and preventive measures Effective communication and time management skills Ability to handle physical workload involved in loading and unloading cargo Basic knowledge of mechanical systems to identify vehicle malfunctions Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) Clean driving record DOT medical certification card Endorsements for Hazardous Materials or Tanker Vehicles (if applicable based on routes and cargo types)
