Position Summary We are seeking a DBA / BI Developer to assist with improving the creation, collection, organization, operationalization, automation, visualization, and democratization of information collected and used throughout Great Hearts Texas & Great Hearts Online. Stakeholders invest much of their time in creating manual and time intensive resources and reports. We are looking for an individual who can support all Great Hearts Texas Lead Office Teams and Schools to automate and operationalize this work.

The DBA / BI Developer is a leadership role which will necessitate technical abilities in:

- Data Architecture: Design the data management systems for Great Hearts. The architecture plan should allow all data systems to ingest, integrate, and manage all the required sources of data for organizational reporting needs.

- Data Engineering: This will require the setup of the Data Warehouse using SQL, Python, and R. This will require knowing the ins-and-outs of SQL database systems and ETL Solutions.

- Data Base Administration: Ensure that the Data Warehouse functions seamlessly for all users in Great Hearts. This will require updating and optimizing the data warehouse so that it does not interfere with workflow, and sensitive information is secure.

- Software Development: Oversee developing, deploying, and maintaining data tools and BI interfaces. Those include query tools, data visualization, interactive dashboards, ad hoc reporting, data modeling and other data tools as needed.

Qualifications, Competencies, and Strengths:

• The ideal candidate must have a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
• Excellent combination of good communication skills and technical skills.
• Have strong expertise in data collection, cleaning, preprocessing, and analyzing data.
• Proficiency in Visual Basic, Excel and Power BI are required to automate reports and visualize opportunities through interactive charts and tables.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and assisting them with their data needs.
• Knowledge of R, Python, SQL, DAX, and Power Query M to manipulate data.
• Experience working with Java, C# and HTML is essential.

  Type of clearance:
  
  - Must complete Texas Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance and background check.
  
  - Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 50 pounds approximately.
