Job Description:
Job Summary Bartenders are responsible for positive guest
interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to
guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. At all
times, bartenders are expected to be attentive to our guest needs
and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.
Practice the “Guest First – Technology Last” rule. Bartender’s
responsibilities also include cash handling, stocking, cleaning and
organizing. The Bartender will follow all Hopdoddy standards to
ensure that the product is of the highest quality in taste and
appearance to satisfy guests and maximize bar revenues. Bartenders
are knowledgeable on local craft beers, in-house products and
always willing to go above and beyond for guests and fellow team
members. Practicing responsible alcohol service, this individual
still knows how to have a good time. Essential Functions Restaurant
Operations: Apply consistent focus on the guest by paying close
attention to detail in the performance of all tasks. Participate in
and foster positive team relations with wait team member,
bartenders, and management. Greet guests when they enter the
restaurant and thanks them as they depart. When assisting guests,
be courteous and professional. Provide warm Hopdoddy Hospitality
with a smile and eye contact. Greet guests, take beverage orders
from the restaurant servers or directly from guests. Utilize the
“Guest Right of Way” always. Deliver drinks to guests, or retrieve
guest food from the kitchen. Takes “To-go” orders from guest and
coordinates with kitchen team. When completed, delivers order to
guest by visually verifying with the guest that all items are in
bag. Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for
purchase of alcohol. Conform to the regulations of the alcohol
beverage authority. Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages
as ordered and in compliance with Hopdoddy recipes and standards to
ensure the “perfect drink” every time. Use of jiggers when pouring
all alcohol. Garnish drinks as required by Hopdoddy recipes.
Arrange bottles and glasses to make an attractive display and
merchandise drinks. Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at
the bar where appropriate. Offers guests waiting for a table a
beverage. Makes own syrups and sauces following Hopdoddy recipes
and standards. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and
beverage products, menus, specials and “Happy Hour” promotions.
Take initiative and get creative in resolving guest challenges and
involve a manager only when previous methods have been
unsuccessful. Get ice for all the wells. Ensure that the assigned
bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for
mixing beverages and serving guests, prepare inventory or purchase
requisitions as needed to replenish supplies. Prepare garnishes for
the drinks, such as wedges and twists of lime, lemon and orange.
Restock the bar with beer, liquor, wine, glassware, juices, etc.
Make sure that everything is at the bar and that there are enough
backups for the shift. Note: Always rotate the products. Clean and
organize the beer cooler. Implements and enforces sanitary
practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance
of bar areas. Check the draught beers/soda dispensers to make sure
they're working and not empty. Restock as needed. Get trash cans
and towels and make sure that the bar is clean before opening it.
Prepare stand banks with the proper amount of cash and hand them
out at the beginning of each event. Learn and utilize operational
procedures for POS system and register to efficiently process guest
transactions. Follow all guidelines for collecting payment,
including credit card transactions and proper cash handling. Verify
bill authenticity. Work with managers to perform refunds in
accordance with Hopdoddy’s refund policies. Continuously verify
register drawer to maintain proper balances always. Prepare cash
and receipts for Supervisor to review; Prepare drops. Assist other
positions when needed. Perform other related duties, tasks and
responsibilities as required from time to time. Performance

Demonstrates consistency in approach and behavior. Comes to work on
time ready for the shift and does not leave until the next shift is
setup for success. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Team Player
with a sense of humor. At least 21 years of age. Completed Front of
House Training. Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
Previous bartending experience required. Must have an active Food
Handlers Card and Alcohol Safety Certification. Demonstrate good
math and communication skills. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be able to lift 30lbs frequently and up to 55lbs occasionally.
Position requires standing, bending, and walking the entire
workday. Must be able work under a high degree of stress on a
physical, mental and emotional level; this includes performing work
