Job Description:
Memorial Hermann, a premier Texas health system known for its

seeking a dedicated PRN Physical Therapist specialized in
Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. This position offers a unique
opportunity to work within a team of professionals dedicated to
practicing top-of-the-line therapeutic techniques aimed at patient
recovery and rehabilitation in a dynamic and supportive
environment. The role requires flexibility to fill in as needed on
an on-call basis without a set schedule, ensuring the highest
levels of care are maintained during peak times, staff shortages,
or other critical periods. Assess patient conditions by conducting
briefings and physical examinations to determine the most effective
treatment. Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate
patient feedback and medical history. Employ specialized physical
therapy techniques for injury recovery and rehabilitation relevant
to orthopedic and sports-related conditions. Consult and coordinate
with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and
evaluate patient care plans. Document patient care services by
charting and updating medical and department records. Maintain
patient confidence by keeping information confidential in
accordance with HIPAA regulations. Participate in educational
workshops, review professional publications, and participate in
professional societies to stay up-to-date with industry trends and
standards. Strong knowledge of orthopedic and sports injury
physical therapy practices and methods. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to operate and handle various medical
and physical therapy equipment safely. Efficient in time management
with the ability to adapt to unpredictable schedules or patient
needs. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist. BLS
certification required. Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist
(COMT) or Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) preferred.
