Primary Responsibilities: The Physician Gastroenterology is responsible for: Consulting with patients to understand their health concerns Performing specialized tests to diagnose and treat patients Evidence-based approach with appropriate use of endoscopic procedures, CT scan, MRI, Ultrasound, and other tests Shared Hospital Call and Office Call required What makes an Optum Career different? Required Qualifications: Medical Degree (MD, DO, M.B.B.S) Licensed or willing to be licensed in the State of Texas Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology Unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment Preferred Qualification: Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $371,000 to $735,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.
