management Description: The unit has a total of 146 beds, which
includes 64 Level 3 & 4 and 82 Level 2. There are 376 staff members
on the unit. Day shift staffing includes 2 charge nurses, and
staffing varies by census and acuity, including clerks and nurse
techs in Level 2. Night shift staffing mirrors the day shift.
Patient ratios vary based on acuity ranging from 1:1 to 1:4. All
NICU equipment is utilized on the unit. The electronic medical
records system is Meditech & CPNT. The ideal candidate will be
skilled in infant assessment, IV and respiratory support
management. Level 4 NICU experience is preferred. Typical
procedures performed include lumbar punctures, central line
placements, circumcisions, and eye exams. The best personality fit
includes strong communication skills, being a great teammate, and a
focus on parent satisfaction and patient safety. Floating areas
will include all NICU areas, general nursery, and pediatrics with
infant assignments. Dress code requires scrubs in royal blue. Staff
are required to be bare below the elbows, including naked nails.
Minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 weekdays per 4-week schedule are
expected, along with holidays as per unit guidelines. Requirements
