Mainland is a 222-bed acute care facility that has been an integral
part of Galveston County for more than 60 years. It offers services
in emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, physical

Emergency Room \n\n \n\n What you will do in this role: \n\n \n\t
\n\t Completes administrative duties / reports in a timely manner
\n\t \n\t \n\t Identifies areas for improvement with Emergency
Department staffing and processes. \n\t \n\t \n\t Seeks and
implements solutions to actual and potential problems identified in
the Emergency Department. \n\t \n\t \n\t Works with other
departments to improve coordination of care activities in the
Emergency Department. --- \n\t \n\t \n\t Identifies staff
development needs and provides plan to improve deficiencies or
advance the level of practice. --- \n\t \n\t \n\t Creates and
maintains an atmosphere in the workplace that is conducive to
employee---s personal and professional growth. \n\t \n\t \n\t
Exemplifies high-level customer service skills in all interactions.
--- \n\t \n\t \n\t Willingly provides direct patient care when
required, models expected behaviors to staff. --- \n\t \n\t \n\t
Effectively manages conflict on the unit. \n\t \n\t \n\t Assists
Charge Nurse in managing patient volumes/flow process \n\t \n \n\n
\n Qualifications Qualifications: \n\n \n\t \n\t Graduate of an
Accredited School of Nursing; BSN \n\t \n\t \n\t Current Licensed
as an RN in the State of Texas. \n\t \n\t \n\t American Red Cross
or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or
BCLS) and certification required \n\t \n\t \n\t American Red Cross
or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course( ALS or
ACLS) an certification required \n\t \n\t \n\t American Red Cross
or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Course (PALS) and certification required \n\t \n\t \n\t Five years
recent clinical experience --- Emergency Room \n\t \n\t \n\t Three
years nursing management experience preferred. \n\t \n \n\n
