• Women's Services What you will do in this role:
  • Responsible for direct patient care given to his/her assigned patients including care of patients on telemetry monitors.
  • Responsible for informing the RN of any pertinent changes in the patient's condition.
  • Responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for the Rehabilitation Unit and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
  • Participates in activities to plan, measure, asses and improve the quality of patient care.
  • Instructs patients/families regarding the disease process.
  • Responsible for additional admission paperwork specific to the Rehabilitation Unit.
  • Participates in weekly patient care conferences, as needed.
  • Scans supplies from P.O.U. area
  • Responsible for maintaining a customer friendly atmosphere. Qualifications What qualification you will need:
    • Completion of a vocational nursing program
    • Current Texas licensure with State Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners.
    • Current BCLS certification required.
    • Six months experience in a Rehab setting preferred.
    • Educational requirements appropriate for meeting population-specific needs of patients assigned to the Rehab Unit.
    • - -I.V. Certification course completed within six months of hire.
