Institute (Moody Neuro)GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:Provides direct
service to individuals; collaborates with the physical therapist to
establish program plans and completes documentation and other
reports as assigned. Reports and documents variations in
individuals performance to the supervising physical therapist May
supervise non licensed physical therapy personnel and student
interns. Attends all departmental and facility staff meetings as
directed. The Physical Therapist Assistant will uphold the mission,
philosophy and goals of the organization and department and
maintain strict confidentiality of personnel and individuals in the
performance of assigned. duties. Other duties as assigned by the
Physical Therapist/Lead Physical Therapist.MAJOR DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:Carries out a physical therapy individual program
plan under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.Carries out
skilled therapy interventions with the individuals being served,
consults with physical therapist regarding the individuals
treatment and progress.Applies physical agents and therapeutic
exercise in order to maximize progress with individual program
plans.Documents objective interventions and progress of individuals
served.May direct and supervise physical therapy aides and student
interns as directed.Participates in the overall training and
supervision of students in physical therapy during their
affiliations as assigned.Participates in community outings as
designated by the supervising physical therapist in order to carry
over an individuals functionDischarge duties in accordance with
Moody Neuro organizational policy, CARF and other accrediting
bodies.Carries out other duties as assigned by the Physical
Therapist and Lead Physical Therapist.QualificationsRequired
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must be licensed to practice
physical therapy in state of Texas. Membership in the American
Physical Therapy Association strongly
recommended.Education:Graduation from a physical therapist
assistant curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy
Association.Experience:Two years experience working with general
neurological and orthopedic trainees/clients preferred.DEMANDS AND
