Registered Nurse ? Operating Room

HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland has been an integral part of Galveston County for more than 60 years. We offer 223 beds and services in emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, physical therapy, radiology, total joint replacements, hyperbaric medicine diagnostic/imaging services and wound care facilities.
HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.
What you will do in this role:
?--Demonstrates the facility?s Standards of Performance, is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients on an assigned Unit
?--Provides direction to non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care.
?--The Registered Nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the Hospital.--
?--Applies knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to identify patient and family requirements relative to age specific needs.
Qualifications Education:
?--Associates degree in Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
What qualifications you will need:
?--1 year of experience is a hospital Operating Room setting is required.
?--Licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Texas
?--American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support course (BLS or BCLS) and certification is required.
?--CNOR is preferred.
?--This unit is a unit where call rotation is required.
