Charge Registered Nurse (RN) - Rehab HCA Houston Healthcare
Mainland has been an integral part of Galveston County for more
than 60 years. We offer 223 beds and services in emergency
medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, physical therapy,
radiology, total joint replacements, hyperbaric medicine
diagnostic/imaging services and wound care facilities. HCA Houston
Healthcare Mainland is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part
of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a
comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers,
emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater
Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17
hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency
centers, and a regional transfer center.
What you will do in this role: To be responsible and accountable
for directing and facilitating the flow of patient care activities
of a unit on an assigned shift.
Supports and assists with the development and actualization of the
unit(s)' goals (strategic plan).
Coordinates and directs the unit(s)' patient care operations for an
Manages personnel effectively, and analyzes workload and skill
requirements to meet patients' needs for an assigned shift.
Practices and promotes cost containment for unit(s) and
Practices and promotes patient/family advocacy and assists with the
maintenance of ethical practice.
Participates in and promotes quality improvement at the unit
Demonstrates a high level of productivity and dependability.
Assists with staff education and unit projects as appropriate.
Graduate of accredited school of nursing. BSN is preferred. What
qualifications you will need:
Licensed as an RN in the State of Texas.
One year of acute care experience is required. American Red Cross
or American Heart Association Basic Life Support ( BLS or BCLS) and
Advanced Life Support (ALS or ACLS) Course and Certification is
