Job Description:

OVERVIEW This role is responsible for overseeing the safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of trenchless construction projects, with a focus on Microtunneling and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). Working closely with the Project Manager, the Superintendent will manage field operations, coordinate labor and equipment, and ensure compliance with contractual and safety requirements. The ideal candidate brings significant on-site construction experience and specialized knowledge of trenchless technology methods. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred Minimum of 7 years of experience on active construction jobsites Demonstrated expertise in Microtunneling and Horizontal Directional Drilling Familiarity with union labor rules and Collective Bargaining Agreements Strong understanding of heavy equipment operations and capabilities Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications Proficiency in basic computer applications and math skills Skilled in verbal and written communication with various stakeholders Experience leading crews, assigning tasks, and resolving operational issues Willingness to travel and stay at project sites as needed PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience preparing and analyzing daily reports, production data, and cost estimates Familiarity with project scheduling and sequencing of construction activities Ability to train team members on safety protocols and maintain compliance Knowledge of subcontract management and equipment maintenance reporting LOCATION: Travel required; based on jobsite locations, primarily within the United States COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS $180k base salary Travel and lodging provided for jobsite assignments Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement savings plan options Paid time off and holidays
